Boy, 16, taken to hospital with serious stab injury

A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed and three men arrested following an incident in Royal Wootton Bassett.

Officers were called to the New Road area in the town at 21:30 BST on Monday.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said the boy was taken to Great Western Hospital with "serious" injuries, which were not described as life changing or life threatening.

"Three males have been arrested on suspicion of GBH [grievous bodily harm] and enquiries are currently ongoing," the spokesperson added.

The force is asking for anyone with information or any witnesses to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) confirmed one double-crewed land ambulance, one critical care car, and one air ambulance was sent to the scene.
