Car fire inside industrial unit put out by crews

Firefighters from across Essex attended the blaze in Nobel Square, Basildon, on Wednesday afternoon

A vehicle fire inside an industrial unit has been put out.

Crews from across Essex were sent to deal with the fire which was reported at Nobel Square, Basildon, at about 16:00 GMT on Wednesday.

Mark Eaglestone, group manager, said: "Crews worked quickly to get the fire under control and prevent it spreading further throughout the building."

It is understood the fire service found potentially dangerous cylinders near the fire and so called in extra fire fighters.
