Driver charged with attempted murder after crash

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was struck by a car on a service road.
Northamptonshire Police said an 18-year-old man suffered "serious injuries" after the collision at the rear of the Butterwick Bakery and Mini Sam in Rockingham Road, Corby, on 18 September.
Alexandros Constantinou, 21, is also charged with driving with no valid insurance, failing to stop having been involved in a road traffic collision and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
Constantinou, of Torksey Close, Corby, is due to appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
Officers said six other people from Corby arrested in connection with the incident remain on police bail.
They are a 40-year-old woman and five men aged between 23 and 38.
