Woman who died after car crashed into tree named

A woman who died after the car she was driving crashed into a tree has been named as 77-year-old Joan Bell.
Ms Bell was driving a Ford KA which left the road and crashed on Pontefract Road, in the Hemsworth area of Wakefield, between 08:35 and 08:48 BST on Monday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police asked anyone with information or footage of the crash to get in touch.
