Woman named as 'complex' murder probe continues

Police have named a woman whose death is being investigated as a suspected murder.

Officers discovered a woman's body at a home in Pinewood Road, Northampton at 06:05 BST on Saturday, 9 August.

Northamptonshire Police has now named her as 43-year-old Kimberley Thompson, and specially trained officers continue to support her family.

A 55-year-old man from Northampton was arrested three days later but was released on bail, and Det Insp Torie Harrison said the investigation was "complex" and "likely to take some time".
