Man dies after sea rescue during Storm Bert

A man has died after he was rescued from the sea as Storm Bert hit the UK.

The 43-year-old was pulled from the water near Hove, East Sussex, by emergency services about 07:50 GMT on 25 November.

He was taken to hospital but Sussex Police confirmed the man later died. His next of kin have been informed.

Storm Bert brought high winds, rain and snow to much of the country from 23 November.
