Part of the Isle of Man TT course has been closed for three days to allow for resurfacing work ahead of the event.

A stretch of the A3 Ramsey Road in the west of the island will be shut between Ballig Bridge and the Cronk-y-Voddy crossroads until 18:00 BST on Sunday.

The Department of Infrastructure said the work would also include patch works, line painting and drain cleaning.

While access for residents and to businesses has been maintained under traffic management, there is no access between Glen Helen and Sarah's Cottage throughout the period.

Diversions have been put in place via the Peel Coast Road.

The department said the work had been” deliberately timed to minimise disruption.
