Your pictures: Dry and sunny springtime

We were not the only ones looking for somewhere to cool down in Marske-by-the-Sea

This spring is so far ranking at the driest in over a century, according to the Met Office.
While there have been a few rainy spells in the north-east of England and Cumbria, it has mainly been dry and bright.
Our Weather Watchers were out and about across the region capturing the sunny scenes.
Here are some of our favourites.

This dog was having a paw-some beach day at Cresswell in Northumberland

The skies were blue and flowers in bloom in Millom, Cumbria

This pigeon found a way to beat the dry spell in Seaham, County Durham

The ground was dry and cracked in Stockton-on-Tees

Hawthorn in County Durham looked bright and colourful in the springtime
