E-bike suspect sought in shooting inquiry

Police are appealing for information about a suspect who is believed to have fled on an e-bike after a man was shot outside a bar.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the wrist during in Silver Street, Bury, at about 23:43 BST on Wednesday, Greater Manchester said.

A 19-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has since been bailed as the investigation continues.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about a person who was on a black e-bike and left the scene in the direction of Bury Interchange to come forward.

A statement from GMP said it was thought the offender left and returned a short time later.

"It is also believed that the victim and offender were not known to one another," the force said.

The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Det Insp Chris Mannion said the attack was an "isolated" incident with no wider threat to the community.
