A council is warning about road closures due to the start of work to change the road layout of a junction.
Dorset Council said it would improve the layout at the Gore Clump junction on the C13 Blandford to Shaftesbury Road.
From Monday the road will be closed on weekdays from 07:30 to 16:30 GMT until 19 December. Outside these times, a traffic control system will be in place.
Dorset Council cabinet member Jon Andrews said: "This scheme is designed to improve safety while minimising disruption and protecting the surrounding landscape."
There will also be overnight closures on the C13 between 20:00 and 06:00 on Monday 15 through to Wednesday 17 December.
A signed diversion route will be provided via the A350 during the night works.
Access to the airfield will be maintained from Boundary Road, and emergency services access will also be preserved, the council said.
The road repair work is in preparation for the Dinah's Hollow stabilisation project, external.
The new layout will include a one-way system, no entry from Boundary Road, no right-turn, double white lines and a reduced 40mph speed limit.
Mr Andrews said: "We know this is a challenging junction and have listened to concerns from residents and road users.
"The weekday closure of Boundary Road is essential to carry out the work safely and efficiently, and we appreciate everyone's patience while these improvements are made."
