Boy, 17, arrested after passenger injured in crash

Police closed Wilford Lane in both directions following the rush-hour crash

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested following a crash that left a woman with significant head injuries.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Wilford Lane, West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, at about 17:00 GMT on Thursday.
The female pillion passenger is being treated in hospital, police said.
The teenager was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit through drugs, and possessing cannabis.
Nottinghamshire Police said the driver was not injured, and appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time to contact the force.
