Motorists have been warned to be mindful of afternoon road closures for the Manx Grand Prix's final scheduled qualifying session ahead of Saturday's race.

The closure from 12:30 BST around the 37.7-mile (61km) Mountain Course is set to be in place until no later than 17:00.

Qualifying for the 2025 Manx Grand Prix began on Sunday, with competitors in the returning Classic TT classes making their first outing on Wednesday.

Friday's afternoon session will see all competitors in both the Manx Grand Prix and classic races take to the circuit.

Friday's schedule

13:00 - Formula 1 / Senior / Supersport MGP / Junior/ Supertwin MGP

14:50 - Lightweight / Historic Senior / Historic Junior

The clerk of the course has the option of using an evening contingency between 18:00 and 21:00.

Previous qualifying sessions this year have been halted by red flags.

Garry Broughton, from Leicester, remains in a serious condition in Aintree Hospital on Merseyside after coming off his machine at Joey's on the Mountain section of the course on the final lap of Tuesday.

And Northern Ireland's Andy McAllister was treated for arm injuries after crashing at the Black Dub on Monday.

The 2025 Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT runs until 29 August, with the first races due to be held on Saturday morning.
