Tuesday's qualifying for the Manx Grand Prix was brought to a halt after an incident led to the session being red-flagged.

The incident happened shortly after 20:00 BST on the mountain section of the 37.7-mile (61km) course while the riders were on their final circuit of the evening.

Organisers said that while public roads had been reopened, a section between Lheaney Road in Ramsey and the Bungalow would remain closed.

The start of the session had earlier been delayed by 30 minutes following two crashes on open roads ahead the course's planned closure.

The Isle of Man Constabulary earlier said the road between the Bungalow and the Creg Ny Baa would not reopen before the session after a crash at Keppel Gate.

The evening session started later than originally scheduled after a delay to roads closing

That delay followed the first evening of qualifying for the 2025 grand prix being disrupted by a crash on the opening lap.

That session was abandoned after Andy McAllister crashed at the Black Dub on the opening lap, requiring the road to be swept.

The Northern Irishman was taken to hospital with arm injuries.

The 2025 Manx Grand Prix and Classic TT event is scheduled to run until 29 August.
