David worked with actor Paul Breen who played the lead part and also produced the film.

Paul, who manages a cinema, said it was a real challenge to make such an ambitious piece alongside doing their full time jobs.

"When David approached me with the first draft of the script and said 'Oh by the way you've got a 14-page monologue towards the end of the film' it was a little daunting, but I'm so proud of what we've achieved."

The Premiere is on Saturday 24 February at Cineworld in Yeovil in a screen that holds up to 250 people.

Its a private viewing in front of an audience that includes students that David teaches at Yeovil College.

"We're using them as a last focus group before we make our final changes and then submit the film to national and international festivals," he said.

"The competition is fierce, especially at the big festivals.

"We made a film that is 70 minutes long on a budget of £5,000. We'll be up against films that cost a million."
