Police make ninth arrest over double shooting

A ninth person has been arrested following a double shooting in Leicester.

Two men were shot as they walked along Evington Road late on 22 November, Leicestershire Police said.

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder on Thursday.

He has since been released on bail, the force added.

Four men have previously been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, while four others have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

They have all been released on bail while inquiries continue.
