Woman dies after motorbike crashes into tree

Emergency services were called to the B4425 in Barnsley

A woman has died after reports a motorbike crashed into a tree.

The single-vehicle crash happened on the B4425 in Barnsley, Gloucestershire, shortly before 20:00 BST on Tuesday.

Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, who was in her 40s and from Swindon in Wiltshire, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closures remain in place between the B4425 Welsh Way and from the junction with the A417.

Gloucestershire Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash and anyone who has dashcam footage they feel may be relevant.
