Stagecoach wants to develop a depot on the outskirts of Spalding

  • Published

A bus firm has submitted plans for a new depot on the outskirts of Spalding to help improve public transport links in the area.

Stagecoach said the application to develop the depot on Wardentree Park in Pinchbeck had been submitted to South Holland District Council.

The site was previously used for storing lorries, tractors and shipping containers.

The proposal is for a bus yard to service the Lincolnshire town.

The development would also provide facilities for car and bus parking, bus cleaning and fuelling, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

Planning documents state that "the proposed site is industrial in nature, with no dwellings in the immediate area and therefore no impact to residential amenity".
