Shots were fired at a house in Kingsland Road in Toxteth, police said

Shots were fired at a house in Liverpool while people were inside the property, police have said.

Merseyside Police said it happened at about 00:15 BST at the house in Kingsley Road in the Toxteth area of the city.

The force said the gunshots caused damage to a front window but no-one was injured.

Det Ch Insp Stephen Ball said it was a "dangerous and reckless" attack. Police have appealed for any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage.
