A motorcyclist is in a critical condition in hospital after a hit-and-run crash in Birmingham.
It happened on the A45 Coventry Road at about 17:05 BST on Wednesday, said police.
A silver Honda Jazz, thought to be the vehicle involved, was found abandoned at the scene and the driver was believed to have made off towards the city centre, the force added.
The man on the bike suffered serious injuries and the A45 heading out of the city was closed between Berkeley Road and Holder Road for investigation work.
The force urged the driver to come forward and talk to them.
People were also asked to report sightings of a man heading towards the city centre shortly after the crash.
He was thought to be wearing grey clothing.
Officers also believed there were other people in the Honda Jazz and wanted to hear from them.
