Potholes on roads in Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham will be fixed in September, the council said.

North East Lincolnshire Council said it would be carrying out resurfacing work on three roads.

The authority said the work was being paid for by funding allocated by the government to fix potholes.

The council asked motorists not to park in the affected streets when the work was due to take place and apologised in advance for any inconvenience caused.

The roads affected are:

  • Chantry Lane in Grimsby between Littlefield Lane and Cartergate and between Mandela Link and Ripon Street. A road closure will be in place on Chantry Lane 24 hours a day from 19:00 BST on Sunday 29 September until 18:00 on Wednesday 2 October.

  • Isaac’s Hill in Cleethorpes between Isaac’s Hill roundabout and St Peter’s Avenue. Isaac’s Hill will be closed overnight from 19:00 to 06:00 between Monday 7 October and Friday 11 October.

  • Pilgrim Avenue in Immingham between Carver Road and 57 Pilgrim Avenue. Pilgrim Avenue will be closed between 07:00 and 18:00 on Thursday 3 October and Friday 4 October.
