A man has appeared in Guernsey's Magistrates court facing charges relating to a break-in at Guernsey's Airport this weekend.

Russell Payne, 51, was arrested by Guernsey Police after being intercepted by airport staff on both Saturday and Sunday morning.

He was remanded in custody until Thursday to allow a mental health report to be compiled.

At that hearing he may be charged in court for entering the restricted zone at Guernsey Airport.

He has already been charged with six other offences relating to the incident, including assaulting an emergency worker.
