Motorcyclist dies after crash on busy city road

A motorcyclist who suffered serious injuries in a crash in Leicester has died.

Police were called to the junction of London Road and Clarendon Court on 8 October following the crash involving a car and a motorcycle.

The rider, a 26-year-old man, was taken to hospital but died on Tuesday, Leicestershire Police said.

A 50-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by careless driving, was previously released under investigation.

An investigation led by the force's serious collision investigation unit is continuing, and witnesses or people with dashcam footage are being asked to come forward.
