A man has denied killing another man following an alleged altercation involving a knife in Skegness.

David Lupton, 60, of Grosvenor Road, Skegness, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Rhys Howell when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court earlier.

Mr Howell, 57, was found with serious injuries after police were called to Grosvenor Road shortly before 19:00 BST on Monday 19 August and died a short time later.

Mr Lupton was remanded into custody and is expected to face a two-week trial beginning on 17 February.

A pre-trial hearing is due to take place at Lincoln Crown Court on 11 November.
