Warning over pit fires and barbecues on Dartmoor

Visitors to Dartmoor are being warned not to light fires by the park's managers.
Dartmoor National Park said it had seen an increase in fires on the moor, from "fire pits to barbecue remains".
The service said fires "damage and mark the beautiful landscape" which took the ranger team "time and resources to fix and re-seed".
"We want everyone to enjoy the moors, witness amazing sunsets, and climb a tor or two, and a fire isn't needed to do that." a spokesperson said.
It comes after the summer's fourth UK heatwave earlier this month sparked fire warnings across Devon and Cornwall.
Dartmoor National Park Authority had warned people not to use barbecues or light fires to avoid putting "lives, property and nature at risk".
