Nurse struck off register after resident's fall
The NMC said it was "appropriate and proportionate" to strike him off its register

A nurse who was found to have failed to contact a person's family for at least three hours after they had a fall has been struck off.
Emeka Jude Umerah worked at Hungerford Nursing Home in Hungerford, Berkshire, when a colleague raised concerns after the resident's fall on 6 September 2020.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) found Mr Umerah failed to make accurate records at the time of the incident.
A panel found it was "appropriate and proportionate" to strike him off, external its register.
It said that would send a "clear message" to the public and the nursing profession "about the standard of behaviour of behaviour required of a registered nurse".
Mr Umerah was invited to attend a meeting by the home's management team on 15 September 2020 to discuss the incident.
But he had resigned on 6 September and did not attend.
