Murder suspect dies after woman in her 80s stabbed

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after an 82-year-old woman was fatally stabbed in Kent has died.

Police were called to a disturbance at a house in Bright Ridge, Southborough, near Tunbridge Wells, on Saturday night.

The victim had suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, aged 24, who sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds, died in hospital on Tuesday, Kent Police said.

Police said the pair were known to each other and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

An investigation into both deaths will be led by the coroner.
