A man who was fatally stabbed has been named by police as 38-year-old Oliver Payne.

Norfolk Police were called to Paragon Place, Norwich, at about 18:45 BST on Friday, where they found a man in his 30s with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

An initial post mortem examination held on Sunday identified that Mr Payne died from a single stab wound to the chest.

The force said it hoped to piece together a timeline of events prior to the incident and in the hours that followed.

Officers have spoken to witnesses, carried out house-to-house enquiries and gathered CCTV footage from the area, the police said.
