A man who was fatally stabbed has been named by police as 38-year-old Oliver Payne.
Norfolk Police were called to Paragon Place, Norwich, at about 18:45 BST on Friday, where they found a man in his 30s with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
An initial post mortem examination held on Sunday identified that Mr Payne died from a single stab wound to the chest.
The force said it hoped to piece together a timeline of events prior to the incident and in the hours that followed.
Officers have spoken to witnesses, carried out house-to-house enquiries and gathered CCTV footage from the area, the police said.
Det Insp Sam Pontin said: "I would like to thank the local community for their support with our investigation to date.
"I would like to reiterate our appeal for anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us, to please get in touch. Our inquiries are progressing well, and we will keep the community updated on the progress of this case."
Increased police patrols are expected to continue to take place over the coming days.
