Frozen 'egg ice lolly' discovered in hen coop

A woman said she was shocked and surprised to discover a frozen egg in her hen coop.
Alison Szafranski, from Kingsley Moor, near Cheadle in the Staffordshire Moorlands, said it was the first time it had happened at her smallholding.
"It's often cold, it's often windy but I've never in 20 years had a frozen egg before," she said.
Parts of the county experienced temperatures of -7C (19F) overnight.
Mrs Szafranski said she had gone to visit her nine chickens at about 08:00 GMT on Thursday morning when one particular egg caught her eye.
"The reason I noticed it was it was cracked when I picked it up, which is very unusual," she said. "When I took the shell off, it was completely frozen solid."
She said the chickens were fine, adding: "They've kept laying all through this cold spell."
In a social media post, Mrs Szafranski shared a picture of the discovery alongside the caption: "Egg ice lolly anyone".
After thawing the egg out, she said her husband Gary ate it in a bacon and egg bap.
"A friend of mine commented on Facebook saying she thought it was one of Gary's posh sorbets," Mrs Szafranski added.
