Driver charged after e-bike rider critically hurt

A man has been charged with driving offences following a crash in Leicester involving a car and e-bike.
Police said they were called to reports of a collision between a red Audi A4 and a bike in Forest Road, off the A47 Humberstone Road, just after 23:30 BST on Monday.
The e-bike rider, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Rahul Singh, 21, of Hampden Road, Rushey Mead, has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle otherwise in accordance with a licence.
He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Two other men - aged 31 and 22 - who were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, have since been released on bail, the force added.
