Dozens of flood warnings remain in places across the East of England with more rain forecast in the coming days.
A Met Office yellow weather warning, external covers parts of Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk until 03:00 BST on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Environment Agency flood warnings, external also cover Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Last week, parts of the region, particularly in the west, were badly affected by flooding, with firefighters rescuing more than 30 people from a caravan park near Oundle.
On Monday morning, roads in Bedfordshire remained closed, external and trains cancelled between Bedford and Bletchley, external.
Hundreds of homes across the region also remained without power, external.
The Environment Agency said while the "overall flood risk has now reduced", minor ongoing river flooding was expected in parts of England on Monday and Tuesday.
The Met Office said persistent rain could lead to a "slight chance" of power cuts, difficult driving conditions and transport disruption.
However, it said more settled conditions were expected later this week.
"Come Tuesday night, into Wednesday, we're starting to see higher pressure, so turning a lot drier and plenty of sunny spells, Met Office meteorologist Liam Eslick said.
"But the following weekend, it does look like there's a further low pressure coming in, but we're still keeping an eye on that."
