Islanders have been asked to share their views about life in Jersey to help with future government plans.

Statistics Jersey said it has launched its annual Jersey Opinions and Lifestyle Survey (JOLS), external with topics covered including the cost of living, wellbeing and health.

An invite will be sent out to 3,500 randomly selected households to take part in the online survey, Statistics Jersey said.

It added the results would help Jersey's government plan and deliver public services.

Statistics Jersey said to ensure a good mix of ages responding to JOLS, the person in the invited households who has their birthday next and is aged over 16 would be asked to answer the questions.

Chief statistician Ian Cope said: "This survey is an invaluable source of information to help us understand Islanders' experiences and opinions.

"I'd really encourage everyone who receives the survey to take part."

Mr Cope added responses were kept anonymous and were protected by law.
