The family of a man who died after his car hit a tree have paid tribute to the "charismatic" father and grandfather.
David Ashcroft, 78, died in hospital after crashing his Mercedes into a tree on Pensby Road, in Pensby, Wirral on 27 September.
Merseyside Police said they believed Mr Ashcroft, from Liverpool, suffered a medical episode at the wheel.
His family said his death had left an "immense void in our lives; however, we will forever hold dear the memories".
They added: "David, a handsome, dashing, and charismatic man, who was full of life, love, and laughter, left us, his family and friends, and this earth, far too soon.
"His smile, warmth, and kindness touched the hearts of everyone that would have the good fortune of knowing him.
"David absolutely adored his family, and friends, with whom he found joy in the simplest of moments, whether in spending quality time with his loved ones, dancing the night away or in sharing a good laugh."
Mr Ashcroft, a former engineer, leaves behind his partner Dawn Turner Ashcroft, of 30 years, along with four children and five grandchildren.
Ms Turner Ashcroft said: "I always said that I couldn't imagine my life without you, and for you to be taken so soon is just not fair.
"Keep the parties going, and dance your way through the clouds snake hips."
The family invited all who knew Mr Ashcroft to attend a service at All Hallows Church in Allerton, Liverpool, on 16 October at 15:00 BST.
