Third arrest after stabbing outside McDonald's

A third person has been arrested in connection with a stabbing outside a McDonald's in Surrey.

Emergency services were called to reports of a man in his 30s with stab wounds to his chest and stomach on Station Road, Redhill, at about 15:40 GMT on 5 March.

Surrey Police said an 18-year-old man from Redhill who was arrested on Monday on suspicion of assault has been released on conditional bail.

Two 15-year-old boys arrested earlier in connection with the inquiry have been released on conditional bail.

Reigate and Banstead Borough Cdr Insp Jon Vale said: "Since this assault was reported to us, officers have been working tirelessly to investigate.

"We know there have been concerns across the community, and we would like to reassure you that there will continue to be increased patrols in the area to ensure people feel safe."
