Homophobic and racist abuse was shouted at a woman in Cornwall during a road rage incident, police said.

It happened in the B&M car park in Eastern Green, Penzance, at about 12:00 BST on Saturday when a vehicle stopped suddenly and started reversing without warning towards another vehicle, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The force said a woman in the second vehicle might have made a gesture with her hands, which led to the male driver in the other vehicle go up to her and shout homophobic and racist abuse.

Police added it might have been witnessed by two women and anyone with information should contact officers.
