The Streets performed the closing act of the Love Saves the Day festival at Ashton Court

Headliners The Streets rounded off one of Bristol's biggest music festivals on Sunday night.

Thousands of music fans gathered at Ashton Court over the Bank Holiday weekend for Love Saves The Day.

Ticket holders enjoyed a variety of acts including Camelphat, Groove Amarda and Felix Joy.

It was the 12th time the festival had been held in Bristol.

Also taking to the stage was drum and bass stars Rudimental, the female-only DJ collective Girls Don’t Sync and DJ and producer Sub Focus, who brought his show, Evolve.

Eight stages hosted some of dance music's biggest names over the bank holiday weekend

Police worked closely with festival organisers and the security team ahead of the event to improve safety for ticket holders.

Back-of-house testing on seized drugs took place during the two-day event and messages were shared via social media about anything causing concern.

The crowds continued partying late into the evening, despite Sunday's rain

LSTD director, Tom Paine, said before the event: "It felt really important to raise awareness around harm and reduction and also have that ability for some back-of-the house testing."
