Man charged with murder after Chichester pub assault

A 30-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal assault at a Chichester pub on Thursday, Sussex Police has said.
Officers were called to a report of an incident at The Dolphin and Anchor, in West Street, at about 23:00 BST.
A 57-year-old man from South Yorkshire sustained serious head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kieran Egan, of Baldmoor Lake Road in Birmingham, was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with murder.
Mr Egan is due to appear before Crawley Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The victim's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A 42-year-old man from County Durham was arrested on suspicion of affray after the incident and has been released on conditional bail.
Sussex Police said it had also identified a third man who is suspected of affray, with efforts ongoing to bring him into custody.
Det Ch Insp Suzanne Joseph, of the Surrey and Sussex major crime team, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the victim in this investigation, who has lost his life in such tragic circumstances."
The force is appealing for information, including mobile or CCTV footage, to "build a clear picture of the events of that evening", added Ms Joseph.
