A man has admitted sending messages to Devon schools, including a nursery, making threats to "kill children", a court heard.
Alfie Pilkington, 30, of Redlands Close in Exeter, pleaded guilty to sending malicious communications on social media in April 2025 on Friday.
The court heard previously the threats involved going to a local nursery and other educational establishments to kill children.
Pilkington has been diagnosed with suffering from schizophrenia and may have been suffering from psychosis for more than 10 years, the court heard.
He is being treated at the Langdon secure hospital at Dawlish and is due to be sentenced in October.
