A drug driver who sped past an ambulance in his Porsche before crashing into a car travelling in the opposite direction has been given a two-year driving ban.
Rajan Galot, 41, drove into a Ford Focus which was carrying a one-year-old baby, who suffered minor injuries on the A4 in Woolhampton, Berkshire, on New Year's Day in 2024.
Galot, from Purley on Thames, admitted one count of dangerous driving and two counts of drug driving and was given a 10-month jail sentence, suspended for 18 months, at Reading Crown Court on Monday.
He must also complete 150 hours of unpaid work and complete an extended retest before he can drive again.
Sgt Matt Cadmore, of Thames Valley Police, said the crash, which happened in wet conditions, could have had "far more tragic consequences".
He added: "We urge all drivers to take responsibility behind the wheel, drive to the conditions, never drive under the influence, and remember that your actions can have devastating impacts on others."
