Three roads in Cherry Willingham near Lincoln will be resurfaced at a cost of £240,000, Lincolnshire County Council has said.

The work starts on Monday on the High Street, Croft Lane and Jubilee Close and is estimated to be finished by 8 August.

Fiskerton Road was resurfaced in June and the council said the total cost of the work in this area was just under £700,000.

A spokesperson said the new surfaces would “improve the roads and give them many more years of life”.

Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways, said: “A lot of money is being spent and our crews are working literally day and night to get these improvements in place to make the area better for road users."
