- Published
A flag pole has split while being brought down in a Jersey park after rot damage was spotted on it.
The Government of Jersey said the pole in Howard Davis Park in St Saviour was found to have the damage during a maintenance inspection.
The government said a cordon was set up and the pole was lifted out of the ground for further inspection, but it broke into two pieces during the process.
Officials are assessing the pole to determine if it can be repaired, the government added.
