Four men arrested over stabbing attack

Four men have been arrested over the stabbing of a man who was left with life-threatening injuries.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was found with a stab wound to his back on Louisa Street, Darlington, at 14:30 BST on Monday and remains in hospital.

The men, aged between 18 and 22, remain in police custody and police believe the victim and suspects were known to each other.

Detectives have asked for anyone with information to come forward.

Durham Police said there would be increased patrols around Eastbourne Road and the street where the victim was found.
