A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in west London.

The boy died at the scene in Bourne Avenue, Hayes, on Friday afternoon. His family has been informed.

A crime scene remains in place and there have been no arrests.

Ch Supt Sean Wilson said: "I am so saddened to confirm that another teenager has lost his life to knife crime on our streets", adding there would be "a significant policing presence in the area".

He urged anyone with information to come forward and "speak to us immediately if you have information or material that can help us".
