Strong winds over the Irish Sea have led to the cancellation of evening ferry services between the Isle of Man and Lancashire.

The 19:15 GMT sailing of the Manxman to Heysham and its overnight return to Douglas have both been axed.

The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company said passengers booked to travel could changes their tickets free of charge online or by contacting the customer service desk.

The disruption to the evening's ferry services comes alongside a warning to drivers of a risk of icy conditions on the island's roads as temperatures fall.
