A number of Jersey schools were targeted by a hoax threat last week, it has emerged.
Jersey's government said police officers "quickly confirmed" a suspicious email was not evidence of a credible threat.
Some schools evacuated on Friday (7 February) as a result.
The Department for Children and Education said headteachers "acted appropriately as and when they became aware of the email."
St George's Preparatory School decided to remain closed throughout the day.
'Difficult circumstances'
In an email to parents headteacher Sarah Hague said: "I am very grateful for the support we received from the States of Jersey Police and I would like to pay tribute to the way our entire staff without exception stepped up without hesitation or question, to look after our children and support our evacuation under difficult circumstances."
