A council-run swimming pool is set to open on the site of a demolished leisure centre.

Medway Council is opening Cozenton Park Sports Centre, on the site of the former Splashes, in Rainham, on 17 July.

The site boasts "state of the art" gym facilities, a leisure pool with a flume, a 25-metre lane pool, dance and fitness studios, and a cafe.

A council spokesperson said: "Our brand new centre will have high-quality facilities for Medway’s families to enjoy."

The site will usually be open from 06:30 BST to 21:00 during the week, and from 08:00 to 16:00 on weekends.

Medway Council had agreed to allocate more than £12m to replace the demolished Splashes complex in Rainham back in April 2022.
