The front window and door of a pizzeria have been smashed in what police are treating as a racially-motivated hate crime in County Antrim.

The interior of Pizza Max on Main Street in Bushmills was also extensively damaged during the attack, which was reported at about 04:30 BST on Monday, after paint was splashed across the premises.

There was no one in the shop at the time of the attack, and it is believed that nothing was taken.

It is the second time the business has been attacked, after a similar incident took place in June.

Pizza Max had posted on Facebook last week they would be reopening soon "after a tough time dealing with vandalism and damage".

The post said it was "truly grateful to our amazing community for the love and support through it all".
