A man has been jailed after a crash at a bus stop involving two children.

Norfolk Police said one child was left with a minor injury and a second child treated for shock following a collision at a bus stop on Folly Road near Wymondham High Academy on 8 September.

Georgie Theo, 28, of Fairlight Avenue in Ramsgate, Kent, had pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving in breach of his licence and failing to report an accident.

Appearing at Norwich Magistrates' Court on Thursday, he was sentenced to 36 weeks imprisonment.

He was also disqualified from driving for two years and four months until an extended test of competence has been passed.

Theo was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £187.

Norfolk Police said a second man was arrested in Wymondham on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, but was released facing no further action.
