Flu jab push for eligible Black Country residents

Eligible people have until the end of March to get a flu jab

People in the Black Country who are eligible for the flu vaccine are being reminded that they have until the end of March to get a jab.
The vaccine is recommended for people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu, including those who are aged 65 or older, have certain long-term health conditions or are pregnant.
Anyone eligible who still has not had a jab can come forward for one until 31 March.
"The flu vaccine offers the best protection, reducing the risk of severe illness and hospitalisation," said Sally Roberts, chief nursing officer for the NHS Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB).
"Our pop-up clinics are a great way for those eligible for a flu vaccine to get vaccinated at a time and location that suits them, with no appointment necessary.
"With the offer of a flu vaccine ending later this month, I would encourage anyone eligible to come forward before it's too late."
Walk-in flu vaccines are available on various days at several community pop-up clinics across the Black Country, the ICB said.
They include:
