Man arrested after woman 'racially abused' in park
The incident happened in Hapsford Park, Seaforth, police said

A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly racially abused while walking her dog in a Merseyside park.
The incident, which also involved a group of teenagers on bicycles, happened in Hapsford Park in Seaforth, Sefton, just before 16:00 GMT on 1 April.
Police said the woman was subjected to threats and racist abuse, with a large branch thrown by a man and a plastic bottle filled with liquid thrown at her by somebody else.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested and released on bail, with detectives appealing for witnesses.
He was held on suspicion of common assault, racially or religiously-aggravated intentional harassment alarm and distress and making threats to kill.
Det Insp Keith Swift appealed for witnesses and said: "This was a frightening experience for the victim, who should not feel intimidated or threatened in this manner."
