Three face extradition to Canada over man's death

Three men arrested in Scotland are facing extradition to Canada in connection with the death of a restaurant owner in Ontario.
Ontario Provincial Police said Robert Evans, 24, has been charged with the manslaughter of Sharif Rahman in August 2023.
Officers added that his father Robert Busby Evans, 47, and uncle Barry Evans, 54, have been charged with accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence.
Police Scotland confirmed that three men, aged 54, 47 and 24, were arrested in Edinburgh and Dalkeith in connection with an outstanding international warrant.
A spokesperson for the force said they were "liaising with the relevant authorities."
It is understood the men were all arrested earlier this year and are currently in custody.
Mr Rahman, 44, died in hospital in London, Ontario a week after the alleged attack outside the Curry House in Owen Sound during a dispute over an unpaid bill.
The Canadian Broadcasting Organisation (CBC) reported, external that the three men were in the country on visitor visas and left Canada shortly after the incident.
CBC said that police subsequently released surveillance footage of a suspect running away from the scene and a suspect vehicle.
A fundraising page set up to help Mr Rahman's family has raised $250,000CAD (£138,461).
A spokesperson for the Crown Office said it did not comment on extradition matters.
